Wheel of the Year 2017 – November Card

I always feel like November is The Darkest Month™. Why? I don’t know. I guess transitioning from light to darkness seems to move in a pretty blunt way instead of smoothly, especially here in Atlanta. It went from hot to cold in a snap and I’m sure it will get hot again out of nowhere before it gets cold again. I should be used to it by now, I’ve been here almost 30 years! But no, I will never get used to erratic Georgia weather.

How was your October? Did anything reveal itself beyond the veil? Did you listen to your intuition and take some much needed time for self-care? Not gonna lie – I didn’t and now I’m suffering a bit with a sinus thing but I did have some beyond the veil revelations that were quite beautiful.

Summer is almost over and I think this morning, I felt the tiniest hint of Fall in the air, believe it or not!  how is your year going so far?  Mine is a whirlwind of chaos, indecision, and renewed passion for certain aspects of my life that needed a pick-me-up in the best way possible.  How about you?  Did last month’s Queen of Wands light the way?  She certainly did for me!  What fun things does August have in store?

Oh, July, July already?!  I hope the year is treating you well so far!  How was your June?  My friendly reminder for self-care came in pretty hard, as evidenced in my Root Chakra check in.  Gotta love the tough love, right?  June’s tough love taught me a lot.  How about you?

The OA Spread

This might be an unpopular opinion but I loved The OA.  It was surprising in many different ways.  I really enjoy the way Brit Marling and Zal Batmanglij tell stories.  It’s great to see their collaborations come to life in such a unique way.  If you haven’t seen Another Earth, I strongly recommend it!  The East is also worth the watch as well!  But I digress.

The OA was so mystical and other-worldly and it felt like an extended, or possibly a long-lost episode of Supernatural, minus Sam and Dean.  And the performances by the entire cast was wonderful!  Everyone blew me away.

I remember seeing Vix’s spread on FB forever ago and it piqued my interest, so I watched one episode and then promptly binged the whole series, as one does with Netflix shows these days.  And then, I just forgot about it.  Maybe the timing and deck choices weren’t right at that time.  Maybe this spread was waiting for me to buy the Dame Darcy Mermaid Tarot (what the heck took me so long?!).  Maybe I didn’t need to deal with this intense of a look into things until now.  Who knows!  Let’s take a trip to The OA and maybe we’ll learn the 5th movement.

Root Chakra Check In

Oh my glob, what a wild start to June! The past few weeks have been pretty intense to say the least.  It all started with a small leak in my apartment, the realization I haven’t had a good, cleansing cry in a while, another leak, getting sick, and yet another leak!  Ugh!  What the eff is going on?!

After visioning a very colorful body scan in the Wisdom Within School, I wanted to take a closer look at the lightning bolts that apparently inhabit my Root Chakra.  I’m really happy I did this too because I have more healing that needs to be done than I originally thought. *nervous laughter*  It’s about to get personal…

Wheel of the Year 2017 – April Card

Here we go again! Another month gone!  Instead of my usual “OMG how has this happened?!”, I’m going to say that time really does fly when you’re having fun!  How is your year going so far?  How was March?  Did you tap into your inner Queen of Pentacles and make self love and self care a priority?  I added it to my Bullet Journal habit tracker for March so I could watch my progress and…it appears I need more of it.

New Moon in Aries: Tarot Tough Love

This New Moon in Aries got super duper real with me.  Talk about Tarot Tough Love!  I haven’t had a chance to really sit down with my cards and fully check in with my Self in quite some time and I could feel the Aries fire burning brightly and a little more tumultuous than normal (quite possibly being fanned by my Libra airiness) really wanting a full-on check in.  So, I grabbed my favorite decks, invited my Spirit Squad in and asked, “Hey Self, what do you really, really want?”

The Raven’s Prophecy Tarot Deck Interview

I recently got this lil baby in the mail and omg the art is even more beautiful in person!  I love it!!  But because I love the artwork so much, I’m sad to say that the orange borders are kind of a buzzkill with this one.  Dare I say it, will this be the first ever deck I attempt at modifying?  I’m hesitant to take a paper cutter / scissors / Xacto / sharp object to these babies but that pop of orange has got to go.
